2016 Cinco De Mayo Celebration

The event offered and extensive selection of traditional Mexican themed menu items such as chicken, beef, and chile relleno, and nopales con elote (cactus with cord)  tacos, with sides of rice and beans.  The menu also included delicious sweet pan dulce for dessert.  A cup of refreshing lemonade or hibiscus water complimented the meal.  About 50 federal employees accompanied us in the celebration, enjoyed great food and had a great time.

 

This event has become very popular over the past few years with salsa contestants coming back year after year to reclaim first place.  And the winners of the salsa contest were… Wayne Lynch took First Place, Mark Ayemin was voted Second Place winner and Isabel Greene was voted third place winner of the salsa making contest.  The winners were announced during the event and all participants and judges were thanked for their participation.  First place winner received a $15.00 Subway gift card.
